Connecting Children with Nature for Lifelong Learning

"Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better." - Albert Einstein

Who we are:

At Little Wise Owls Outdoor Learning, we offer high-quality outdoor education and forest school programs in Chilliwack, BC for children ages 3–10. Our programs are rooted in nature-based, play-based learning, where children build confidence, resilience, and independence through meaningful outdoor experiences.

We proudly serve families in Sardis (Rotary Park) and Fairfield Island, with a new Yarrow location opening September 2026, expanding access to outdoor learning across the Chilliwack community.

Our approach is influenced by forest school practices and inspired by Waldorf and Reggio Emilia philosophies, while remaining uniquely our own. We focus on child-led exploration, open-ended play, and creating rich, sensory experiences in nature. Children are given the time and freedom to follow their interests—whether they are building, creating, climbing, storytelling, or observing the natural world.

Through daily outdoor immersion, we support the whole child—socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively—while nurturing a strong connection to the environment and a lifelong love of learning.

At Little Wise Owls Outdoor Learning, we believe children thrive when they are outdoors—moving, discovering, and engaging with the world in real and meaningful ways.

Our Vision:

Our vision is to connect all children with the natural world, inspiring a lifelong love of learning, exploration, and sustainability. We believe that outdoor play and education, guided by passionate and empowered educators, can shape a brighter future for our planet.
